Job Description

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position acts as a strategic partner ensuring alignment between business operations and HR practices that support the achievement of business objectives and enable a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides human resources advice, counsel, and recommended solutions to managers and employees.
  • Executes HR programs and policies in support of the people strategy regarding performance management, training and development, compensation, employee relations, recognition and engagement.
  • Partners with Leaders and Talent Acquisition Specialist to align and execute on the workforce plan, ensuring pipeline of talent for the organization.
  • Facilitates career development action planning and succession planning in partnership with leaders identify high potential employees and ensure internal bench strength.
  • Create and execute engagement and retention initiative action plans in partnership with the business.
  • Assists with the roll out of HR strategies and initiatives including creation of communication plans, prepares and delivers required communications, presentations and correspondence
  • Participates in and/or leads specific projects or initiatives in support of the people strategy as required

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education in HR, Business, or Equivalent.
  • Demonstrated years experience in HR across a complex business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and partnership with both business leaders and employees
  • Experience in manufacturing or agricultural industry preferred
  • CPHR or Equivalent Designation preferred
