The Opportunity
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Youth Drop-in Center.
- Support youth who are at risk of becoming unhoused or are unhoused and are experiencing barriers in accessing resources and services.
- Advocate and address immediate needs of the youth, including but not limited to: meals, clothing, personal hygiene items, shower, laundry, storage, access to computer, internet and telephone.
- Provides first aid and investigates illness or injury complaints to determine the need for additional medical services.
Role
What You Will Bring to The Role:
- A post-secondary diploma in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related field preferred
- Two years’ experience working with at-risk and high-risk youth
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
