We are currently hiring a Manager, Business Banking to support our London Elgin Region.
The Manager, Business Banking is responsible for leading a team of Business Relationship Managers and driving business banking growth across the region. As part of the Regional Leadership Team, this individual works alongside Branch Managers to enhance business financial services knowledge, support business development efforts, and elevate Owner service standards. This role ensures Business Relationship Managers act as trusted advisors for business Owners, fostering full relationships that span both business and personal financial needs. Additionally, the Manager, Business Banking champions the integration of business banking with wealth and personal banking specialists to deliver seamless Owner experience and works to align business banking efforts with organizational strategies, industry focus, and regional business plans.

The Manager, Business Banking is responsible for leading a team of Business Relationship Managers and driving business banking growth across the region. The Role:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Relationship Managers to ensure high levels of financial acumen, relationship management, and Owner service.
- Provide ongoing mentorship, professional development, and performance management to support individual and team success.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers to integrate business banking within the broader branch network.
- Foster an Owner-centric culture by reinforcing the role of Business Relationship Managers as primary financial advisors to their business Owners.
- Build and execute regional business development plans to attract and grow business lending and deposit relationships.
- Support Business Relationship Managers in proactive business development, including networking, prospecting, and expanding relationships with existing Owners.
- Work with regional leaders to ensure strong alignment between business banking and overall branch distribution strategy.
- Maintain an active presence in the community and key business networks to strengthen Libro’s market position.
- Collaborate closely with the VP Ag & Commercial Banking to implement strategies aligned with target industries and business priorities.
- Work alongside internal specialists (Wealth, Financial Planning, Insurance, Cash Management) to ensure Business Relationship Managers identify and refer opportunities effectively.
- Advocate for and support industry specialization within the business banking team to enhance Libro’s value proposition in key markets.
- Actively build business financial services knowledge across the region, ensuring strong business banking capabilities within both the Business Relationship Manager team and their peer Branch Managers.
- Ensure Business Relationship Managers maintain a presence within branches, supporting Owners and enhancing business financial services expertise within the branch network.
- Drive high Owner service expectations and ensure Business Relationship Managers are proactive, responsive, and fully engaged in their role as the central point of contact for business Owners.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Agriculture or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business banking, commercial lending or financial advisory roles with strong business development background and demonstrated success in relationship management and revenue growth.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing financial services teams.
- Established presence within the regional business community with strong industry networks preferred.
