About the Role:

We are looking to welcome an energetic self-starter, mechanically inclined and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Digital Corrugate Production team. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and embraces our Continuous Improvement working culture.

The Esko Table Operator plays a critical role by helping produce Digital Items and working as a team in a manufacturing environment. We are hiring at our Mitchell Island location at 11300 Twigg Place on our afternoon shift:

  • Monday-Friday, 3:15pm-11:45pm

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating our Esko tables to cut Digital items using different types of Corrugate accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure Digital Items are cut correctly using the proper files and measurements
  • Navigate through the computer to select proper files and set up Esko Tables with correct measurements
  • Utilize small tools to change Crease Wheels and Cutting Blades
  • Be able to load tables with board (helper available)
  • Pull board off from tables and strip off trimmed areas
  • Palletize orders, wrap, strap, and label
  • Operate Pallet Jacks to move materials
  • Read and understand Job Instructions, follow instructions as needed
  • Complete orders in a timely fashion and be able to follow a production schedule
  • Keep accurate counts
  • Responsible for the quality of products manufactured
  • Able to follow company rule and regulations

Qualifications And Skills

  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Desire to learn and succeed
  • Good organization skills and reliable work habits
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous machine operating experience is preferred
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, as this position requires lifting, bending and moderate physical exertion
