- You possess a valid post-secondary diploma as an Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy Assistant
- Ability to travel within Durham - valid driver's license and car insurance is required
- You can assist/ teach exercise programs and train activities of daily living, including the use of assistive devices
- You can provide gait and balance training
- You are knowledgeable in the use of therapeutic equipment
- You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Your focus is to embrace person and family-centered care
- You are passionate and empathetic, use good judgment, and apply critical thinking when making client decisions
- You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently
- You value the role a therapist assistant plays in keeping clients at home when that is of personal importance
