We are currently hiring a Sales Development Representative to join our sales team in the West.
Role Objectives
- The Sales Development Representative is Responsible for selling the Edge Imaging Brand of products and services to specified accounts in the assigned territory.
- Growing Edge Imaging business in line with company vision and values.
- Establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the territory.
- Working efficiently and effectively with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), Territory Manager (TM) and other Edge employees and departments to optimize marketing and sales opportunities within the territory.
- Ensuring the Company’s CRM system is fully utilized.
The duties of the Sales Development Representative primarily include but are not limited to the following:
Sales
- To be a consummate Sales Professional throughout the territory in implementing key account acquisition and driving sales growth principally by means of creating strong relationships with the appropriate school photography leaders and gatekeepers.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all Edge Imaging photography and yearbook products and services and effectively promote the same in the territory.
- Promote and sell the Company’s products and services to a specified list of prospects as may be directed by the RSM.
- Makes regular contact with prospects, making sales presentations, answering questions, preparing competitive analysis, and doing all such things as required to build meaningful relationships that result in prospects signing Edge Imaging sales and service agreements.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape of the territory including a detailed analysis of all competitor programs and offerings and creates competitive analysis summaries to assist in presentations to prospects.
- Assess competitor strengths and weaknesses for the purpose of implementing successful sales strategies.
- Works with the RSM to obtain the necessary training, coaching, motivation, and inspiration to achieve sales objectives.
- Assist in the account ownership transition to the Territory Manager once prospects have been signed.
- Participate in team sales activities.
- Participate at conferences and events where prospects will be in attendance and where Edge Imaging is represented.
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with Territory managers to understand the territory requirements/programs
- Provide timely weekly update of sales calls, funnel activities and other performance based reporting as requested by management.
- Utilize the Company’s reporting systems appropriately, including eTrax and CRM systems to provide detailed and accurate reporting of activities to management.
- Responsible for the attainment of annual sales targets.
- Participates in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans.
- Ensures CRM system data and account information is up to date.
- Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
- Participates in trade shows and conferences.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Actively participates in professional development activities, to build product knowledge and sales skills, including active participation in Company Sales meetings. 
Internal / External Cooperation
- Demonstrates and acts with professionalism in the areas of personal character, commitment, organization, selling skills, and work habits.
- Communicates well with prospects and Edge Imaging staff.
- Makes an ongoing commitment to personal growth and development.
- Maintains regular and consistent contact with all key accounts and on a less frequent basis all remaining accounts in the territory to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Works with Sales and Marketing and Inside sales to ensure quality content is provided to prospects.
- College diploma in business administration, marketing or a related field.
- Proven track record in a sales or customer service role.
- A confident, self-motivated salesperson who enjoys building relationships.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable with CRM tools and basic reporting.
- Willing to travel within the assigned territory.
- Primarily remote work arrangement with some travel to customers/schools.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation.
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Able to lift light materials (up to 25 lbs) for events or presentations.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for conferences/presentations.
- Ability to sit for extensive periods of time.
- Fast-paced office environment.
- Salary range $45K - $50K with potential for additional earnings through commissions
