Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Associate Vice President (AVP) Brand & Marketing on a permanent basis on our Co-op & External Relations team.
We are looking for a strategic, results-oriented leader with a comprehensive vision and broad perspective. The successful candidate will empower teams to reinforce Co-op’s brand identity, leveraging the distinctive qualities of the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). Rooted in purpose, innovation, and effective storytelling, you’ll champion a brand that connects deeply with communities while harnessing technology to deliver personalized, high-impact campaigns.
This position is a hybrid opportunity, preferably based in Saskatoon, SK. However, base location may be flexible depending on the candidate.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the development of a cohesive brand strategy that reflects Co-op’s purpose, values, and community impact, ensuring alignment across promotions, products, and member experiences.
- Implement marketing strategies to maintain consistent brand representation across traditional and digital channels, ultimately supporting revenue growth and member engagement.
- Engage stakeholders to align foundational brand efforts with enterprise goals, fostering a culture of customer-centricity and support for member loyalty.
- Oversee the evolution of digital-first and customer experience programs, guiding multiple workstreams to deliver impactful, personalized and targeted campaigns.
- Leverage data from market research and customer insights teams to continuously enhance strategic decision-making.

You will join a marketing team that has received multiple awards and accolades from respected industry and business associations. Reporting directly to the Vice President (VP), Co-op and External Relations, your role will foster a culture of innovation, encourage employee engagement, and drive value creation. Additionally, you will collaborate with CRS leadership to identify opportunities for shared efficiencies and design programs that support both central strategies and local operational effectiveness.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in marketing leadership and:
- Have 15+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in marketing across commodities.
- Have a demonstrated ability to lead a team, influence peers, and inspire change.
- Have a university degree, with a preference for business majoring in marketing (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have experience working in a co-operative business model (considered an asset).
- Professional designations or membership with related associations is considered an asset.
