Position: Learning Specialist (10-Month Term)

Employment Type: Temporary/Contract (Full-Time)

Duration: 10 Months

Summary Of Job Responsibilities


In accordance with established procedures and policies and available tools, the Learning Specialist is responsible for the entire design and development cycle of learning solutions for Cogeco employees in North America. In collaboration with various stakeholders (internal teams, suppliers, Agile squads), the incumbent analyzes needs, proposes strategies, and creates engaging content. This role requires advanced expertise in digital design tools and the ability to develop and sometimes facilitate workshops to support business objectives.

Main Responsibilities


  • Stakeholder Analysis, Strategy and Management
  • Conduct a requirements analysis to identify training needs and skill gaps within the different teams.
  • Prepare a training strategy aligned with business objectives, proposing the most suitable learning solutions (digital, workshops, blended).
  • Align with stakeholders (including vendors, content experts, internal teams, and Agile squads) on pedagogical methods, timelines, and expected deliverables.

Design and Development (Digital Focus)

  • Design and develop multimodal learning solutions, with a primary focus on digital design (eLearning).
  • Create stand-alone interactive modules, simulations and assessments using authoring tools.
  • Produce and edit video and multimedia material (screenshots, tutorials) using video production and editing tools.
  • Design and develop training modules such as workshops and instructor-led training for group, virtual or in-person learning.
  • Write and update reference material (guides, aide-mémoires, training manuals).
  • Integrate extensive knowledge of artificial intelligence tools, such as Gemini, to optimize content creation and personalize learning paths.

Facilitation and Continuous Improvement

  • Facilitate training workshops or train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the learning solutions implemented and propose continuous improvements.
  • Monitor best practices in instructional design and digital tools.

Essential Requirements


WORK EXPERIENCES

At least two (2) years of experience related to the responsibilities

Special Skills


  • Bilingualism French / English (spoken and written) required, in order to support North American operations.
  • Proficiency in Articulate 360 (an asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of Techsmith Camtasia (an asset).
  • Extensive knowledge of using artificial intelligence tools, such as Gemini.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (an asset).
  • Proven experience in instructional design and in-depth knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Experience in designing digital and multimedia learning solutions (portfolio an asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to transmit knowledge in a structured, creative and innovative manner.
  • Demonstrated superior ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sense of responsibility, commitment and accountability for results.
  • People and team focused.
