You'll collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams, strategically solving complex technical challenges that directly impact Amazon's global transportation network.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Software Development Engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth
  • Drive strategic technical decisions and ensure seamless system integrations across complex logistics platforms
  • Develop and implement engineering best practices that promote code quality, scalability, and innovation
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical and organizational risks to maintain project momentum
  • Manage engineering roadmaps and timelines while maintaining a customer-centric and data-driven approach

About The Team

We are a passionate group of 30 technology professionals dedicated to creating software solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and operational excellence in yard management. Our products support critical logistics processes across North America, Europe, and Japan, facilitating the movement of millions of vehicles and trailers annually.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary for this position ranges from $171,400/year up to $286,200/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
