Position: Video and Image Annotation Expert

Role Responsibilities
- Analyze short video clips and images to produce structured annotations capturing subjects, objects, environments, audio cues, temporal dynamics, mood, and storytelling elements.
- Collaborate directly with Mercor's project leads to enhance AI systems' understanding of complex visual and narrative information.
- Apply judgment to decide which attributes best describe a scene and express subtle narrative or emotional cues.
- Follow precise instructions and quickly adopt new requirements to improve AI model performance.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while maintaining flexibility in your schedule.
Must-Have
- Experience in roles such as movie producer, film editor, screenwriter, archivist, media analyst, or generalist with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Currently residing in the U.S., UK, or Canada.
- Rolling start dates; we aim to onboard qualified experts within a few days (1–2) of application.
- Complete a short interview and assessment.
- Hourly contractor for Mercor.
