Position Objective
As part of the ICT Technical Support Team, the Technical Analyst will support various aspects of infrastructure for seven site, two-organization network. The Infrastructure and Virtualization Technical Analyst's role is responsible for building new physical and virtual servers, support vendor lead installations, assist in servers patching and security remediation, monitor and act on server requirements & troubleshoot server application related incidents. The analyst will also be administrating storage-based SAN, NFS, VSAN and Object based storage environments. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures that are consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Provides a point of escalation as well as mentorship to Service Desk. This role takes part in the on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- College Diploma in Computer Technology or University Degree in Computer Science and/or 5-10 years equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2203, Infrastructure, VDA Management and Citrix NetScaler, CCA-V & CCP-V certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of VMware 7.x, 8.x, with VCP certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of Pure Storage, Dell PowerStore, PowerScale and VMware vSAN technologies
- Strong knowledge of SCCM, SCOM, PowerShell and Windows OS management
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022, with Microsoft certifications preferred
- Other Certifications in Nutanix NCP & ITIL would be an asset
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Access, Word and Excel required
- Self-starter with ability to self-manage at required service and work performance standards; Able to set high standards for results, and once achieved, able to raise the standards even higher
- Previous Healthcare Experience would be an asset
- Proven ability to create and maintain procedure documentation
- Actively involved in continuing education opportunities
- Proven ability to work with a wide range of internal and external affected parties and to build strong relationships
- Proven analytical skills with an aptitude for process evaluation and problem-solving
- Ability to learn new areas of unfamiliar territory
- Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgement, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to meet, prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proven analytical skills with an aptitude for process evaluation and problem-solving
- Ability to learn new areas of unfamiliar territory
- Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgement, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to meet, prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
