About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director Bridges to join our team in Alberta. This senior-level position requires a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge in bridge engineering, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully overseeing complex bridge projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for bridge operations in Alberta, overseeing project delivery, business growth, and team development
• Manage a portfolio of bridge projects from proposal to completion, ensuring quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of bridge engineers and technologists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and engagement
• Support recruitment, performance management, and professional development of staff
• Collaborate with regional branches to support local projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Drive business development efforts and maintain strategic relationships with key public and private sector clients
• Oversee resource planning, workload management, safety, quality, and operational success
• Serve as a senior technical authority in bridge engineering, contributing to standards, innovation, and best practices across the organization
• Represent the bridge team in industry associations, client meetings, and community initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in bridge engineering, including project leadership
• Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta
