This is a hybrid role based out of Montreal. Hybrid is 3 days a week onsite. 2 days a week remote.

RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, the private edition, is one of the key deployment options for our customer's cloud transformation. It provides our customers with a comprehensive cloud infrastructure and managed service offerings that are an essential part of the overall cloud strategy of SAP. This enables customers to safeguard their existing SAP ERP investment while benefiting from a new level of flexibility – tailoring the software to meet their specific needs, retaining company-specific configurations and customizations of their SAP ERP system, and accessing the latest capabilities that give their company a competitive advantage.

Under RISE with SAP, SAP allows customers to run their SAP S/4 HANA and other SAP applications in a managed private cloud environment in SAP’s datacenters, IaaS Hyperscalers, SAP Premium Suppliers, or in customers’ existing datacenters. SAP has established strategic partnerships with the major cloud infrastructure providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to offer customers maximum choice for their SAP private cloud deployment.

The Digital Cloud Advisory Team is part of the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services organization. We seek highly motivated and customer-focused team members within this team to strengthen the Digital Cloud Architecture & Advisory team (DCAA) in NA. The Cloud Architect Advisor works predominantly in the pre-sales phase as a subject matter expert, acting as the primary point of contact for all technical topics related to the private cloud deployment from a customer perspective. It works closely with all the other internal SAP teams to prepare customers for success on their cloud journey under RISE with SAP.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Role

This is a customer-facing role in which you will support the sales teams during the entire cycle of a Cloud deal. The following are the essential tasks that this role will perform:

• Present in detail technical and operational aspects of the RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition offering, including respective managed service offerings (usually to CIO’s, IT managers, data center managers, and SAP Technology staff)
• Present the technical requirements and value proposition for SAP private cloud on SAP Data Centres, Premium Suppliers, and Hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Conduct technical assessment workshops with customers to define the future cloud architecture and plan the migration roadmap with partners, System Integrators, and/or SAP Professional Services.
• Guide customers on non-functional capabilities such as Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, Technical Operations, and service consumption.
• Work on Pricing using tools such as Quote Tool, Configurator, etc.
• Work with other teams within the Customer Success board area to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
• Own the technical discussions with the customer and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services delivery organization as required.
  
  

Education And Qualifications / Skills And Competencies

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Business Administration required from an accredited university.
• High proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required.
• High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings and industry solutions.
• Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies etc.)
• Good understanding of operational aspects (Application and Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
• Good understanding of the entire platform stacks (storage, virtualization, hardware, networks etc.)
• Good understanding of technical capabilities of at least one Hyperscale provider (AWS, MS Azure or GCP), certifications are a must.
• Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects
• Willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice.
• Fluency in English; any other language is an asset (Portuguese and French are preferred).
  
  

Work Experience

• 5+ years of customer facing SAP Consulting experience.
• 5+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture and/or SAP implementation.
• Experience in a customer facing pre-sales role is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP BTP, IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure or GCP), SAP Premium Suppliers and/or data centers is a big advantage.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance expertise is an advantage.
• SAP Application Lifecycle Management and or SAP Operations experience is an advantage.
• ITSM, Service Design & Delivery experience is an advantage.

L’équipe Digital Cloud Advisory fait partie de l’organisation SAP Enterprise Cloud Services. Pour renforcer l’équipe Digital Cloud Architecture & Advisory (DCAA) en Amérique du Nord, nous recherchons aujourd’hui des personnes très motivées avec une approche axée sur les clients. L’Architecte-conseiller du Cloud intervient principalement dans la phase d’avant-vente en tant qu’expert, se positionnant en interlocuteur principal sur tous les sujets techniques liés au déploiement du Cloud privé du point de vue du client. • Présenter en détail les aspects techniques et opérationnels de l’offre RISE with SAP, y compris les offres de services gérés pertinentes (généralement aux DSI, responsables informatiques, gestionnaires des centres de données et au personnel SAP Technology).
• Présenter les exigences techniques et la proposition de valeur pour un environnement de Cloud privé SAP hébergé au niveau des centres de données SAP, de fournisseurs premiums et d’hyperscalers tels qu’Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure et Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Organiser des ateliers d’évaluation technique avec des clients afin de définir leur future architecture Cloud et de planifier la feuille de route de la migration avec les partenaires, intégrateurs système et/ou services professionnels SAP impliqués.
• Guider les clients au travers des fonctionnalités non fonctionnelles telles que celles relatives à la continuité des activités, à la cybersécurité et la conformité, à la mise en réseau, aux opérations techniques ou encore à la consommation des services.
• Travailler sur la tarification à l’aide d’outils tels que l’outil de création de devis, le configurateur, etc.
• Collaborer avec d’autres équipes du secteur Customer Success afin de gérer la tarification et de fournir un soutien continu aux équipes commerciales dans la réalisation des transactions.
• Maîtriser les discussions techniques avec le client et agir en chef d’orchestre auprès des experts afin de garantir l’expertise promise par l’organisation SAP Enterprise Cloud Services.
  
  

Formation Et Qualifications/Connaissances Et Compétences

• Baccalauréat / Maîtrise en ingénierie, informatique ou gestion d’entreprise délivré(e) par une université accréditée requis(e).
• Grande maîtrise des présentations et des communications avec les clients requise.
• Grande maîtrise du portefeuille de produits SAP, des offres et des solutions métier.
• Bonne compréhension des solutions SAP (versions, interdépendances des plateformes, etc.).
• Bonne compréhension des aspects opérationnels (applicatifs et techniques) des solutions SAP dans un environnement Cloud.
• Bonne compréhension de l’ensemble des piles de la plateforme (stockage, virtualisation, matériel, réseaux, etc.).
• Bonne compréhension des fonctionnalités techniques d’au moins un fournisseur hyperscale (AWS, MS Azure ou GCP), certifications indispensables.
• Capacité et volonté de faire partie d’une équipe internationale d’architectes Cloud
• Être disposé à effectuer des voyages professionnels avec un court préavis.
• Maîtrise de l’anglais; toute autre langue serait un atout (portugais et français appréciés).
  
  

EXPÉRIENCE PROFESSIONNELLE

• 5 ans ou plus d’expérience dans le conseil SAP au contact avec les clients.
• 5 ans ou plus d’expérience dans la conception de solutions, l’architecture d’entreprise et/ou l’implémentation SAP.
• Une expérience dans un rôle d’avant-vente au contact avec les clients serait un avantage.
• Une expérience avec SAP BTP, les fournisseurs IaaS (AWS, MS Azure ou GCP), les fournisseurs premiums SAP et/ou les centres de données serait un grand avantage.
• Une expertise en cybersécurité et conformité serait un avantage.
• Une expérience dans la gestion du cycle de vie des applications SAP et/ou les opérations SAP serait un avantage.
• Une expérience dans la gestion des services IT, la conception et la livraison de services serait un avantage.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 91,500 - 200,700 (CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
