Job Summary
As a Business Insights & Analytics Coordinator Co-op, you’ll join a dynamic team focused on driving actionable insights, automation, and operational excellence across the business. You’ll work cross-functionally, leveraging AI tools, data and analytics and automation to identify opportunities for efficiency, automate processes, and help manage and reduce backlog. Your contributions will deliver immediate benefit and create sustainable improvements that persist after your placement ends.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with business intelligence tools, data analysis, and process improvement, collaborating with team members across disciplines. We’re looking for a business- and technically minded individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about using data to drive impact.
Please note this role will be fully in person from D2L's headquarters in Kitchener. To be eligible, you must be a current post-secondary student.

Weekly Salary Range
$820—$1,050 CAD

Job Responsibilities
- Automation & Efficiency: Identify, design, and implement automation opportunities to streamline reporting, analytics, and operational workflows.
- Backlog Management: Analyze and help prioritize the team’s backlog, recommending and implementing solutions to reduce bottlenecks and improve throughput.
- Business Insights: Support the team in delivering high-impact analytics and insights to stakeholders, using tools such as SQL, PowerBI and various AI tools.
- Process Improvement: Review and optimize existing processes, collaborating with business, product, and technology teams to drive measurable improvements.
- Sustainable Impact: Document solutions and share knowledge to ensure improvements are sustained after your placement ends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven recommendations.
- Learning & Innovation: Continuously seek opportunities to learn new tools and techniques and apply creative thinking to solve complex problems.
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience working in Agile teams
- Strong communication, collaboration, and data analytics skills.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) SQL and ETLs.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative mindset and drive to find efficiencies and automate/augment processes with automation and AI tools.
- Experience collaborating with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
- Currently enrolled in Engineering, Business Administration or related
- Previous co-op experience strongly preferred
