Weldco-Beales Manufacturing (WBM or Weldco) engineers and manufactures a variety of heavy equipment attachments specializing in the forestry, construction, road maintenance, mining and resource industries, while continuously improving their designs. All WBM attachments are specialized to complement the machine and the job to maximize productivity and enhance product service life. Weldco is a subsidiary of Inuvialuit Development Corporation, a highly successful, 100% Indigenous-owned organization with a management team that supports its subsidiary operations with strategy, finance, human resources, and M&A expertise as required. The new President will report directly to the IDC Management Team, and the company is governed by IDC’s Board.

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing is now seeking a President who will provide leadership to a capable team to deliver on a strategic growth plan. Job one will be to engage with the team to transition to a more progressive culture that values health and safety very highly, in concert with improving manufacturing operations. Most of the company’s products are currently custom-made, and they have begun the process of creating several standard products, then leveraging them to make custom modifications to improve efficiencies and quality across the board. Achieving a consistently strong on-time delivery and regaining Weldco-Beales solid reputation will also be a priority. Medium- and long-term prospects include accelerating organic growth and international expansion to increase revenues and profitability.

You are a senior executive with experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing and distribution or closely related sector. You have ideally worked in steel fabrication and/or attachment manufacturing sectors, bringing a successful track record of operating and growing complex, multi-site businesses with exceptional safety records. Ideally, you are experienced in leading and expanding a national and international network, working with a Boards and/or with Indigenous peoples.
