Sr. Analyst - Sourcing Strategy & Analytics

We’ve established a team of dedicated, innovative, and collaborative professionals within our broader Sourcing Strategy Centre of Excellence team. Within that team sits Strategy and Analytics, and we are in charge of exploring and implementing artificial intelligence, new automation tools, alternative Source-to-Contract systems; creating dashboards, KPIs, reports, automation solutions, powerful PowerPoint decks for leadership; and supporting the sourcing team in managing supplier performance at an enterprise level.
What You'll Do:
Strategy & Analytics is responsible for servicing a functional team of sourcing professionals on the indirect and direct sides of the business. While this role is primarily technical in nature, it’s critical for the individual to communicate seamlessly to stakeholder individuals, foster collaboration, take an interest in the design elements of their work product, and understand the data as it relates to the business. This role is a combination of a data analyst and business analyst – you will collect requirements from stakeholders, gather and cleanse data sets, produce reports and dashboards, and explore opportunities to embed machine learning models and intelligent automation into sourcing processes.
The Senior Analyst, Sourcing will be inquisitive, strong communicator, work well with timelines, produce high-quality work product, and be an active member of the team. Our work is about mentoring others to achieve success in implementing new approaches and delivering lasting outcomes. You'll have the chance to lead projects and progress with minimal supervision, including tracking metrics, handling complex analyses, building ML models, developing practical recommendations, and preparing communications to report back to internal partners.

Specifically, you will:
- Access data warehouses to produce complex reports, KPIs, ML model outputs, and visualizations for the business
- Recommend platforms, AI tools, and automation solutions within the team and to broader stakeholders across the business, and implement those solutions to optimize day-to-day operations
- Develop and deploy basic machine learning models (e.g., classification, regression, clustering) to solve business.
- Build and maintain scalable and reusable automation tools and data pipelines, leveraging Python, Power Platform, and cloud-based data solutions
- Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner.
- Establish trust-based relationships with teams to better serve them by blending critical thinking with hands-on experiences, advising on developing and defining strategies to help teams address their most critical problems.
- Provide a unique set of tools and techniques to find opportunities for improvement and you will implement recommendations in support of the business objectives.
- Work directly and effectively with various functional teams while sharing your expertise in analytics, AI, and automation with colleagues, thereby growing our knowledge, and refining our approaches, to come up with the best solution and move people and teams to act.
- Make important, hands-on contributions across a dynamic set of situations in a way that uses your deep knowledge of functional transformations. You will use automation and digital processes to realize significant performance improvements quickly as well as push both your colleagues and our teams into thinking about challenging situations in new and creative ways.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Power Platform (specifically Power Automate, Power App, Power BI) tools.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- Python (data analysis, machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, etc.).
- Teradata, BigQuery, or other cloud-based data warehouse platforms.
- VBA for Excel automation.
- Developing and applying machine learning models to solve business problems
- Exploring AI and intelligent automation tools (e.g., GPT APIs, AutoML, anomaly detection algorithms)
- Working with data engineering workflows, including ETL development, pipeline automation, and cloud integration
