As a Director within EY’s Strategic Deals Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, coaching, and leading EY’s most complex and strategic pursuits. You will partner with clients, account teams, pursuit leaders, and service line stakeholders to drive deal strategy, enhance win probability, and ensure alignment with EY’s value proposition and client priorities. This newly created role is central to EY’s ambition to elevate pursuit excellence and win transformational deals.

BC & Ontario Region Pay Information
The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $200,000 to $350,000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.

The opportunity
As a Director within EY’s Strategic Deals Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, coaching, and leading EY’s most complex and strategic pursuits. You will partner with clients, account teams, pursuit leaders, and service line stakeholders to drive deal strategy, enhance win probability, and ensure alignment with EY’s value proposition and client priorities. This newly created role is central to EY’s ambition to elevate pursuit excellence and win transformational deals.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key client contact throughout the pursuit lifecycle, in collaboration with the engagement partner
- A strategic advisor and coach to pursuit teams on high-value, complex deals across service lines.
- Lead deal strategy development, including win themes, competitive positioning, and client-centric messaging.
- Facilitate pursuit planning workshops, solutioning sessions, and executive alignment meetings.
- Collaborate with the SDC team to apply best practices, tools, and frameworks that drive pursuit success.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to shape commercially sound and executable deals.
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback to teams throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
- Support post-deal reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously improve pursuit capabilities.
- Lead strategic client conversations and build lasting relationships
- Drive and own negotiations with clients around strategy and execution
- Acti as a trusted advisor to our most valuable clients and highest priority pursuits
- Minimum 15 years of experience in professional services, consulting, or strategic sales.
- Proven track record in leading or coaching complex, multi-service pursuits with deal values exceeding $15M.
- Deep understanding of pursuit strategy, client buying behavior, and competitive dynamics.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, specifically C-suite executives.
- Demonstrated expertise in facilitating discussions, effectively communicating complex ideas, and influencing stakeholders to drive outcomes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Building strategic client relationships and driving business development initiatives
- Prior experience in a Deal Coach, Sales Capture, or Pursuit Lead role.
- Experience with deal shaping, commercial structuring, and negotiation.
- Exposure to strategic account and client relationship management.
