Brief Description
Program Manager, National Account
The Program Manager is accountable for overseeing all projects for a single, large customer within a defined vertical. Projects will be in both Canada and USA but there is no mandatory requirement to travel outside of Canada. Projects are electrical in nature, and include facility maintenance, engineering studies, Arc Flash mitigation upgrades, and safe work procedure design. This role focuses on strategic relationship management, program-level procedure oversight, and ensuring consistent delivery of superior client experiences across all projects for the customer. The Program Manager will work closely with both the customer’s stakeholders and internal teams to drive program success and continuous improvement.
This role will direct report to an Operations Executive in Canada with dashed-line reporting to an Operations Executive in the USA.

Accountabilities
Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, building and maintaining a strategic partnership.
- Present new services and solutions tailored to the customer’s vertical and evolving needs.
- Proactively identify opportunities for additional value and repeat business within the customer’s organization.
- Lead regular program review meetings with customer stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and future initiatives.
- Ensure all Customer Relationship Management (CRM) activities, opportunities, quotes, and forecasting are accurately maintained for the customer program.
- Oversee the execution of multiple concurrent projects for the customer, ensuring alignment with program objectives and customer expectations. Total cumulative program size will range from $4-$8M per year, with multiple projects running concurrently.
- Working with Operations teams across North America, plan and allocate resources across projects, optimizing team performance and balancing workloads.
- Ensure thorough preparation and execution of all scheduled work, with a focus on program-level coordination.
- Monitor project status, progress, and financial health at both the project and program levels.
- Identify, prepare, and track change proposals and change orders, ensuring customer prior approval and satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance across all projects, ensuring adherence to both company and customer standards.
- Maintain organized digital records for each project, ensuring all documentation meets company and customer requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for all projects within the program.
- Understand financial health of the project using company provided tools.
- Ultimate responsibility for delivering Superior Client Experiences on all projects.
- Drive continuous improvement of program and project management processes, leveraging lessons learned across projects.
- Collaborate with Operations and Corporate Services teams to implement best practices and standardized processes for the customer program.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers, Project Coordinators and/or Field Service Technicians dedicated to the customer program.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on delivering exceptional results for the customer.
- Support professional development and succession planning within the team.
- Demonstrate safety as a priority through safe program execution.
- Achieve program-level revenue and gross profit margin targets.
- Drive proposal generation and business development within the customer’s organization.
- Maximize billing efficiency and resource utilization across all projects.
- Deliver superior client experiences and maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
- Excellent time management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Engineering Technology diploma, Engineering degree, or relevant experience a requirement. Background in Electrical systems is a strong asset.
- NETA certification an asset but not required.
- 5+ years’ experience in project/program management, preferably with large, single-customer programs.
- Proven experience managing teams and multiple projects within a single vertical.
- Strong understanding of power systems, automation, and control systems relevant to the customer’s industry.
- Ability to travel as required for customer engagement and program oversight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing customer needs, including emergency requests.
