What You’ll Do

As an EIS Repair Center Specialist, you will perform repairs on EIS components including control equipment, surface boxes, blast controllers, and harness wire systems. You will be responsible for replacing electronic circuit boards and connectors where required. Other duties:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on test benches and calibration tools.

  • Use specialized testing equipment and software to verify operational performance and calibration of repaired units.

  • Ensure that all repaired units meet factory specifications and pass functional and safety testing

  • Document and record repair activities, parts usage, and testing results in the repair center database.

  • Communicate invoicing information to CSRs or Finance.

  • Assist in trend reporting for recurring issues to support product improvement initiatives.

  • Shipping of repaired equipment

  • Follow all company regulatory safety protocols.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with hazardous material handling procedures.

  • Support continuous improvement and lean practices in the repair process.

  • Liaise with engineering (DetNet) and technical support teams to escalate complex product faults.

  • Provide feedback to field teams and production for common field failures or handling concerns


What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical diploma or certificate in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field (required).

  • Additional training in electronic blasting systems or explosive initiation systems (preferred).

  • 2+ years’ experience in electronic repair, diagnostics, or maintenance (industrial or mining sector preferred).

  • Familiarity with electronic initiation systems or remote field equipment advantageous

  • Must be able to travel to the USA for training purposes

  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.

  • Proficient in use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering tools, and diagnostic instruments.

  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits, communication protocols, and microcontroller systems.

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
