Standard Bus Contracting has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager based in Whitehorse. This role is responsible for overseeing operations throughout the territory as well as future growth opportunities in the region.

Knowledge & Skills Required
- Post-secondary education with emphasis on Management
- Transportation operations and management experience with bench strength in decision making
- High level of emotional intelligence to deal with all levels of personnel and clientele
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy
- Expertise in organizational planning and problem-solving
- Knowledge of provincial and federal laws & regulations pertaining to industry requirements
- Knowledge of WCB and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial statements
- Computer proficiency in Office Suite
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Negotiate contracts and assist with the preparation of tender documents
- Delegate responsibilities to the Management team
- Establish policies and procedures
- Develop and lead employee engagement initiatives
- Represent the company at client meetings, and with the media
- Investigate and initiate change to improve Operations systems and procedures
- Network and volunteer in the community and industry to acquire business contacts and establish relationships
- Business growth in the area
