Could you be the full-time Maintenance Director in Montreal for the iconic REM Project in Montreal we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and technical expertise to a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in maximizing the lifespan of critical assets while improving the availability and reliability of our services. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, operations, finance), oversee strategic maintenance planning, and drive performance excellence in safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

You’ll specifically take care of creating and maintaining the strategic maintenance plan, as well as other associated plans, but also ensure alignment with contractual obligations and budgets.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Developing and maintaining the strategic maintenance plan, including organizational charts, roles and responsibilities, mobilization plans, training, and subcontracting strategies.
  • Managing the maintenance mobilization plan and ensuring readiness in your domain.
  • Overseeing the maintenance budget, including suppliers, materials, snow removal, and more.
  • Ensuring safety, availability, and reliability of all assets, including rolling stock, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Establishing and managing warranty processes in coordination with contract and finance teams.
  • Leading the management of all maintenance sites and fostering synergies across teams.
  • Creating and managing a maintenance planning cell to optimize operations.
  • Promoting communication and collaboration with operational and maintenance teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, including long-term maintenance plans.
  • Managing the Alstom TSSSA contract (technical support and spare parts procurement).

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent), or a combination of education and experience.
  • An engineering degree with at least 10 years of experience in the rail industry, or a technical background ideally within an international organization.
  • Proven leadership experience in a maintenance or production environment, with a focus on mobilizing maintenance operations.
  • Experience working with high-level client management and public transit/governmental agencies.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing operational and investment budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and managing Quality, Safety, and Environmental systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to foster cross-functional collaboration.
