About the Role

Provides a complete range of technical support for scientific instruments and equipment in both research and teaching laboratories within the Chemistry Department. Operates and maintains the elemental analysis (EA) facility as a service to the faculty and students in the Department of Chemistry, primarily, in the Faculty of Science, in general, and researchers outside of SFU. Performs maintenance and repair work on scientific equipment and instrumentation in the Analytical and Physical Chemistry teaching laboratories (including, but not limited to, gas chromatography, atomic absorption, thermal gravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, high performance liquid chromatography, and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry) and in the EA facility (elemental analyzer). Provides support for shared departmental research facilities.
