Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing department within an ISO 9001–certified environment. This individual will lead and develop a high-performing team while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing methods, processes, and performance metrics. The role requires close collaboration with Safety, Quality, Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Demand Planning, Procurement, Order Fulfillment, and other Manufacturing departments to ensure operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean Manufacturing and a proven ability to optimize efficiency, cost, and quality through disciplined process improvement and effective leadership. As the company continues to grow, the Supervisor will play a key role in scaling production capabilities, enhancing cross-functional alignment, and supporting strategic business objectives. This is a full time permanent role based out of our Head Office in Vaughan, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and take ownership of developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing and assembly methods within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Order Fulfillment, and other Manufacturing departments) to drive continuous improvement initiatives across all production areas.
 - Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with customer requirements.
 - Create and maintain work instructions, manufacturing orders, and process documentation to support consistent production execution.
 - Establish and maintain labour standards, support time studies, and monitor productivity metrics to enhance performance.
 - Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by collaborating with Engineering on electronic and mechanical design for final assembly (DFT/DFM considerations).
 - Apply structured problem-solving methods to resolve production issues and sustain process improvements.
 - Act as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing engineering, order fulfillment, and corporate headquarters to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
 - Lead, coach, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
 - Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, company policies, and health and safety regulations, while promoting a strong culture of safety and quality awareness.
 
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
 - 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
 - Strong knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, JIT).
 - Proven experience in process improvement, production planning, and workflow optimization.
 - Demonstrated ability to support New Product Introduction (NPI), including collaboration with Engineering on DFM/DFT considerations.
 - Skilled in creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, process flows, and BOMs.
 - Experience conducting time studies, setting labor standards, and tracking productivity metrics.
 - Proficient in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D).
 - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Order Fulfillment teams.
 - Demonstrated leadership ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing production teams.
 - Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and commitment to maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and compliance.
 - Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software.
 - Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is an asset.
