About the job

In this role, you will focus on Customer Growth and Engagement, playing a key role in strengthening relationships with existing public sector customers and helping them unlock the full value of SOVRA’s solutions.

You’ll engage directly with procurement and finance leaders across government organizations, guiding them through new features, enhanced tools, and service packages designed to expand their use of SOVRA. Your mission: ensure every agency experiences the full benefits of our platform while identifying opportunities for deeper engagement.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their sales career who’s eager to make a tangible impact on public sector innovation and technology adoption.

What will your main responsibilities look like? 

In this role, you will be led to:                                         

  • Engage with existing agency users to understand their current procurement processes and needs.
  • Present enhanced SOVRA capabilities and tailored service packages to improve customer outcomes.
  • Educate and guide clients through platform upgrades, onboarding sessions, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to align engagement strategies and achieve quarterly activation goals.
  • Utilize tools like Salesforce, Gong, and others to manage customer communications and track progress.
  • Maintain a consistent cadence of outreach through phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings.
  • Partner with Marketing to refine messaging and increase adoption rates.
  • Gather feedback from agencies to help inform future product enhancements.
What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?
  • Excellent English and French language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interactions with English and French-speaking internal and external colleagues and partners across Canada & United States.  
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field). 
  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a client-facing role (internships and campus roles welcome). 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales enablement tools. 
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Passion for public sector innovation and technology. 
  • Required: Authorized to work in Canada—unfortunately, we cannot sponsor work visas or transfers at this time.
