Salary range: $93,000 - $105,000
Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, design, and reporting for projects involving tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and other mine infrastructure.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, and project documentation to support client needs and project milestones.
- Oversee and lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective collaboration across engineering, design, and construction phases.
- Manage the preparation of design drawings and specifications, from initial scoping studies through to detailed design and construction phases.
- Develop accurate and comprehensive engineering and construction cost estimates to support project budgeting and planning.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring timely and successful project execution.
- Travel to client sites within Canada and internationally to support project activities and client relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-7+ years’ experience working with an engineering consulting firm or similar environment; construction, with a Professional Engineer (PE) certification being a valuable asset.
- A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in the design of tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and related mine infrastructure.
- Expertise in dam stability analysis, water management, and civil design principles.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic modeling software’s, such as, HEC-RAS or IBER.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and clients. Spanish skills will be an asset.
