Job Description

Aramark is recruiting a Finance Coordinator to compile, record, and retrieve operational information related to our foodservice on campus at Dalhousie University. The Finance Coordinator assists in maintaining accurate accounting records and reports, ensures that information is accurate and up-to-date, and processes comply with Aramark policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities


Reviews sales and purchase summaries; issues invoices to Vendors

Manages Accounts Receivable (A/R) for vendor accounts

Performs Transfer Journal Entries for funds transfer between locations

Manages student residence bills from university and meal-plan card fees

Supports catering department to ensure sales and gratuities balance

Provides customer service to other units requesting sales data from programs

Monitors the food service email to respond to student enquiries, process refunds

Oversees invoice entry process to ensure expenses are accurately recorded

Oversee inventory count entry for all components

Reviews operating reports from units adjusting as required

Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers

Provides budget process support as required


Qualifications

ost-secondary Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce is preferred

2-3 years accounting experience preferably in the foodservice or hospitality industry

Knowledge and understanding of accounting standards, practices, and procedures

Strong analytical, problem solving and technical accounting skills required

High degree of attention to detail

High proficiency in Excel – MS Office and ability to learn new programs
