Your tasks
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections, as well as non-destructive testing (NDT) of components manufactured in our facility. You will be required to complete all necessary reports (non-conformities, corrective actions, etc.) based on inspection results.
You will verify and calibrate measuring instruments and ensure accurate documentation.
You will also be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and following up on non-conformities and corrective actions.
In addition, you will actively participate in the implementation of the Quality Management System and continuous improvement initiatives.
Summary of tasks
Inspection and Quality Control
- Perform visual, dimensional, and non-destructive inspections (NDT) of components in compliance with current standards, codes, and industry policies
- Prepare and complete all required documentation, including inspection reports and records, within the
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Ensure that all inspection and testing equipment is properly set up, calibrated, and fully operational at all
- times
- Verify, calibrate, and maintain records of precision measuring instruments
Non-Conformities and Corrective Actions
- Prepare, review, and monitor non-conformities and corrective actions to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Quality Management and Continuous Improvement
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization projects.
Other
- Comply with all company quality policies and procedures.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with the company’s vision, values, and code of ethics.
- Follow and promote safety policies and best practices at all times.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Your profile
Education and qualifications
- College diploma (DEC) in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a high school diploma with relevant experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position required
- Certification(s) in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as MT, PT, or UT considered an asset
- Level I or II Welding Inspector certification considered (an asset)
Skills and Experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and to use precision measuring instruments
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of quality systems and continuous improvement processes
- Advanced proficiency in spoken and written French
- Working at heights training is an asset
- Strong health and safety mindset
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to accurately document inspections, non-conformities, and corrective actions with clear and concise reporting
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and thorough
- Good physical condition, able to lift loads up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Interest in occasionally supporting our field service department at customer sites (rare occasions)
- Willingness to work at heights occasionally (rare occasions)
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- Valid and unrestricted passport
- Willingness to travel for short business trips within North America and Europe on rare occasions
