Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to provide technology procurement and contracting leadership to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of technology products and services, including cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, data analytics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence.



Responsibilities:

• Leading project teams through the end-to-end IT procurement process

• Providing expertise and guidance on the best sourcing strategies.

• Facilitating and advising the business on the evaluation and selection of supplier proposals.

• Compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.

• Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and enhance cost savings.

• Ensure procurement compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Procurement Leadership

• Provide expertise and guidance on the best sourcing strategies.

• Identify and procurement-related risks and support risk response planning and actions.

• Support financial forecasting for projects on the DTP project roadmap.

• Stay informed on market trends and pricing benchmarks to inform sourcing decisions.

Procurement Execution

• Collaborate with the PMO, IT, Legal, and Finance to identify procurement requirements, define sourcing approaches.

• Lead project teams through the end-to-end IT procurement process, identifying content needed and providing support, templates, and advice on content creation.

• Lead competitive sourcing processes (RFP, RFQ, RFI) in compliance with applicable procurement regulations and policies.

• Plan, facilitate, and advise response evaluation panels for vendor selection.

• Support the development and presentation of procurement content needed for review and approval by project steering committee

• Be responsible for the overall quality and completeness of each procurement package to support timely, consistent, and high-quality vendor responses.

• Manage the procurement engagement through BC Bid.

• Maintain accurate and auditable procurement records in designated document repositories.

Procurement Management & Continuous Improvement

• Manage the contract lifecycle for renewals amendments, and terminations.

• Recommend and develop improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
