Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has an exciting new opportunity for a Material Control Supervisor. The purpose of this position is to manage the direct reports & activities associated with Scheduling, Material Resources Planning, Shipping, Receiving and Stores.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Familiar with schedule to ensure customer requirements are appropriately represented in MRP/ERP system
  • Manage/assist with requisition of direct materials
  • Manage inventory counting, audit & re-organization activities, including layout of stores & shipping
  • Supervise the activities of the shipping receiving & material planning departments; Performance Appraisal, budgeting, training, mentoring
  • Manage/co-ordinate monthly & annual sales forecasts for budget & planning depts.
  • Assist in the implementation of process improvement involving the CINCOM system & activities of the department
  • Time & attendance monitory direct reports
  • Monthly inventory reporting, daily & weekly reporting to Management, Corporate for compliance: MRP, Requisitions, Inventory Management
  • Develop/Maintenance procedures i.e., Quality, Standard & Corporate policies & procedures
  • Monitor Line of Balances & assist in development, streamline, of new processes for Supply Chain

Position Requirements

  • 4-year College Degree (Business Administration, Accounting)
  • Computer skills: Data Base, Spread Sheet Development
  • 5-10 years’ work experience in a Manufacturing environment preferably Aerospace
  • Manufacturing Leadership Certificate Program
  • Thorough knowledge of MRP/ERP system
  • Extensive Database & Spreadsheet applications, integrating with MRP/ERP system
  • Knowledge of concepts/consequences related to inventory, stores, shipping and receiving
  • Expertise in cost accounting and customer forecasting
  • Supervisory experience in building effective teams
