Reporting to the Grocery Department Head (or his/her delegate), the Grocery Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Department Head and Assistant Department Head in providing guidance, supervision and sets as a good example for Grocery Assistants to follow.

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 35 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

  • Conduct quality control during receiving; manage inventory and product quality, follow FIFO concept; ensure full display of various grocery products
  • Provide guidance and supervision to Grocery Assistants; assist Department Head to train department staff
  • Follow procedures to process expired products and manage shrinkage
  • Greet customers by providing good customer service with smile, friendly enthusiasm
  • Assist customers in selecting grocery products and provide recommendations to them, as required
  • Ensure workplace cleanliness, wash and maintain relevant work tools are clean and well-kept
  • Handle customers’ complaints, build rapport with our customers by providing good smile, eye contact and attention to them
  • Lead by example by performing duties of Grocery Assistant as required
  • Familiar with the location of various grocery items; keep self-updated with all in Grocery Department promotion activities
  • Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
  • Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with products and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis
  • Possess basic computer skills in MS Office
  • Have a good understanding of tools & equipments relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
