Inspired HR is partnering with a private family to hire a Household Manager & Family Cook to support a busy household. The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and adaptable. Someone who brings a sense of calm, care, and professionalism to both the kitchen and the home.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves cooking wholesome meals, enjoys gardening and nature, and takes pride in creating a welcoming, well-run home environment.

The new Household Manager & Family Cook will work closely with a small, established team to ensure the home runs smoothly and feels inviting.

Key Responsibilities

Household Management

  • Coordinate household errands such as dry cleaning, shopping, gift purchasing, and deliveries.
  • Manage seasonal décor and household organization for holidays and special occasions (e.g., Halloween, Christmas).
  • Oversee household supplies and ensure everything runs smoothly without direct supervision.
  • Liaise with existing staff in a collaborative and respectful way

Cooking & Meal Preparation

  • Plan, prepare, and cook healthy, family-friendly meals using fresh organic ingredients
  • Manage weekly grocery shopping, pantry organization, and meal prep for busy family schedules.
  • Occasionally cook for small dinner parties (approx. 10 per year)
  • Prepare snacks and baked goods for the family, including healthy options.

Property & Lifestyle Support

  • Take an active interest in the garden
  • Support the creation of a warm, welcoming home environment from fresh flowers to tidy spaces.
  • Occasionally coordinate small family gatherings.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Experience in a private household, family support, or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Strong cooking skills. Passionate about preparing healthy, home-style meals (professional training is an asset but not required).
  • High emotional intelligence and discretion; understands family dynamics and when to step forward or step back.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to anticipate needs.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
  • Valid driver’s license (airport drop-offs or errands as needed).

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
