Your Opportunity: Alberta Health Services is currently looking to add a Provincial Implementation Lead to the Connect Care Continuing Care team to support the planning, execution and evaluation of Connect Care's projects related to the Waitlist and Vacancy Management (VWM) readiness and implementation. Waitlist and Vacancy Management project will support a provincial standardization of workflows and systems across Alberta into one platform that will enhance patient quality care as we know it. The VWM will be used by all operators of funded Continuing Care Type A, B and C beds across the province to access information provided by Assisted Living Alberta teams to support the continuing care living option workflows. Reporting to the Continuing Care Facility-Based Care CORe Lead this is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in project management, change management and stakeholder engagement that will contribute to the success of Connect Care and VWM Description: The Provincial Implementation Lead is a senior professional role that combines advanced clinical skill and knowledge along with project management skills. The Provincial Implementation Lead provides advanced expertise within their clinical scope as well as expertise in planning, implementation and readiness of VWM. This position will support the planning, readiness and implementation states of support of the VWM launch by working with a variety of stakeholders. The Implementation Lead requires exceptional communication skills and current experience in patient care areas to understand and address the diverse needs of stakeholders, particularly those working in teams. The Implementation Lead works collaboratively with other Implementation Leads, the Connect Care Continuing Care team, clinical informatics leads including nurses, physicians, allied health professionals and service departments. Monitors project progress against standards, timelines, plans, and budget; actively identifying and resolving issues affecting timely completion including a point of escalation for related issues. Anticipates potential risks and creates mitigation strategies for issues threatening the success of VWM implementation and Readiness. Maintains active communication with clinical operations contacts to understand their environments and influence their thinking for the successful implementation for CIS and related Health Information Technology. Explains complex and difficult issues to leadership that have multiple possible solutions and presents solutions that promote and influence standardization as well as best practice across the continuum; develops solutions to complex problems

Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in a related health care discipline. Membership in good standing with appropriate professional organization (i.e. CRNA, ACP). Candidates must have strong working knowledge of continuing care transition, vacancy and waitlist management processes. Additional experience in home care, supportive living or long-term care is also preferred. Must be able to maintain positive relationships as well be self-directed and effective in team environments as required. Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines are essential. Basic knowledge of systems principles, as well as theories and concepts of the healthcare business. Basic knowledge of systems principles, as well as theories and concepts of the healthcare business Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible roles in clinical areas. Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in clinical roles in the provision of healthcare or a strong working knowledge and understanding of healthcare delivery. Has developed depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline. Experience in health services is desired. Proven experience in managing teams, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making, coaching and mentoring. Proven ability to foster relationships and partnerships with highly complex internal and external stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Connect Care Continuing Care transition workflows and an understanding of Connect Care Type A/B or home care workflows. Strong communication, follow-up skills, proven issues management experience, detail oriented, probes for information to fully understand clinical issues, able to understand micro and macro points of view to create collaborative solutions, demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Self-motivated and self-directed, requires little supervision.
