We are currently looking for an Inspector to join our Boilers and Pressure Vessels program in Kitchener, Waterloo and surrounding areas. This is for a 6-month contract.
Inspector employees are represented by the Ontario Public Service Employee Union - OPSEU/SEFPO, Local 546.
Job Responsibilities
Candidates should be aware that this role involves regular exposure to agriculture environments, including exposure to livestock and poultry. Individuals with allergies to animals, feathers, dust, or other agricultural allergens should assess their suitability for this position. Proper protection equipment and training will be provided to ensure safety and compliance with biosecurity protocols.

Job Responsibilities
- Promote public safety through the periodic/in-service inspection and certification of boilers, pressure vessels and pressure piping
- Perform conventional inspections for boilers and pressure vessels processing of quality and safety of agricultural environments
- Apply your technical proficiency by conducting welder and brazer tests and by monitoring repairs and alterations to boilers and pressure vessels
- Develop progressive relationships with your internal and external customers to promote safety-oriented results

Job Qualifications
- Qualified to write the Ontario Certificate of Competency and will be able to obtain the National Board 'In-Service' and 'AI' Commission and ‘N’ Endorsements
- Five years’ experience in the BPV industry is coupled with a comprehensive understanding of related CSA and ASME BPV codes, the Technical Standards and Safety Act, and BPV Regulations
- As this position requires daily travel, a valid Ontario driver’s license is required.
- Salary to be discussed pursuant to education, work experience and licensing
