ACCOUNT MANAGER, TRAILERS & USED TRUCK SALES

Our Account Managers play a key role in the Maxim family. They are often the first people our customers meet to discuss their whole goods needs. With customer service a priority, having a professional, friendly, and dedicated sales team is very important to us.

If you have a strong desire to be successful by earning the trust of your customers, this role could be a great fit. You will be aiding clients with rental and leasing needs, along with the sales of used trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Prospects customers by cold-calling, following up regularly, developing customer relationships, determining customer needs, and answering inquiries. Inputs customer information into CRM program.
  • Prepares sales quotes by developing and fine-tuning agreements that meet or exceed customer needs and generate profitable sales for Maxim. Advises existing and potential customers on what units will adequately meet their needs, answers inquiries, sources units and organizes creation of custom units to meet specialized needs.
  • Closes sales deals by determining how Maxim can meet customer needs negotiating terms and writing up the sales contract, receiving deal approval, explaining warranty/after sales service, referring to in-house financing, and reviewing all documents with customer.
  • Appraises trade-ins by compiling history details (e.g. mileage, recent repairs, accidents, money still owing) through visual inspection (including taking pictures to aid decision-making) and discussion with customer to determine value of trade and presents appraisal to appropriate manager for approval.
  • Ensures unit is prepared for delivery by listing work to be done and following up with shop to ensure quality work is completed on time (e.g. proper cleaning, addition of options like specific mirrors).

Qualifications

Please Note: A variety of experience and skills will be considered when selecting candidates

  • Background in agriculture or construction
  • 2 years front line sales and customer service
  • Valid Driver’s License and vehicle – Class 1A license an asset
  • Sales and customer service focused
  • Easily builds rapport and relationships with people at all levels
  • Ability to prospect new customers and up-sell products
  • Strong negotiation, listening, and closing skills
  • Regularly sets and meets priorities and long term goals
  • Proficient with MS Word/Excel, email, internet
  • Strong ability to learn in-house computer programs
  • Ability to complete ongoing product sales training
  • Shows assertiveness, persuasiveness, and initiative
  • Ability to work independently
