We are building a brilliant, connected future for Canadians—and we need meticulous, forward-thinking professionals to help us deliver operational excellence. As a Senior Inventory Obsolescence Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing the lifecycle of obsolete inventory across our network supply chain. This includes overseeing write-offs, coordinating repair and disposal workflows, and maximizing asset recovery through resale and recycling initiatives.

This permanent position is central to maintaining inventory integrity, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit standards. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to drive process automation, enhance system workflows, and support strategic inventory initiatives through advanced reporting and analytics.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the end-to-end management of obsolete inventory, including identification, classification, and execution of write-offs, repairs, disposals, and resale activities.
  • Oversee part master management by updating and maintaining accurate part records based on executed write-offs and inventory lifecycle changes.
  • Develop and implement automated workflows to streamline obsolescence tracking, approval routing, and inventory disposition processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of inventory write-offs through system-driven triggers and audit-compliant documentation.
  • Build and maintain BI dashboards and reporting tools to monitor KPIs, obsolescence trends, and asset recovery performance.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring alignment between physical stock and system records.
  • Coordinate with logistics, warehouse teams, contractors, and recyclers to ensure timely and accurate inventory movements.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT teams on system adjustments, data integrity, and month-end reconciliation.
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory variances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control methodologies, including cycle counts and year-end inventory processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on inventory systems and SOPs, providing training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead daily item review meetings to evaluate and determine obsolete inventory candidates. Facilitate consensus across all decision-making departments for write-off approvals in accordance with established processes.
  • Closely collaborate with the Project Management team, Item Primes, Engineering, Spares Department, Finance, Supply Chain VP and Network VP to ensure alignment on inventory decisions.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory management with a strong focus on obsolescence, asset recovery, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in part master data management and inventory disposition workflows.
  • Proven success in implementing process automation for inventory controls and write-offs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with VBA and Microsoft Office Suite is an asset.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for dashboard creation and performance reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • Supply Chain certifications (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP) are considered an asset.
  • Willingness to travel and work across warehouse environments; exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels may be required.

To protect our people, brand and assets, a pre-employment background check will be conducted. As part of our selection process, all candidates must clear a criminal background check. Additionally, a credit check and drivers abstract may be required depending on the role.
