Job Description

We are exclusively partnered with a well-funded copper exploration company advancing one of the most promising projects in Zambia. With multiple drill rigs currently active and a seasoned leadership team credited with several world-class discoveries, this is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to a potential Tier-1 deposit alongside some of the industry’s most accomplished explorers.

The Exploration Geologist will be based on-site in Zambia, supporting a busy and growing drill program. The focus will be on detailed core logging and geological interpretation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with a team of experienced expat and local geologists to maintain data accuracy and ensure high-quality geological information is captured throughout the program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed core logging, describing lithology, structure, alteration, and mineralization.
• Maintain accurate and organized core records, sampling, and geological databases.
• Relate current drilling to previous results, recognizing patterns and trends in mineralization and structure.
• Support the field geology team with sample management and general exploration activities.
• Demonstrate initiative and strong attention to detail with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a diverse, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant exploration experience.
• Solid understanding of igneous and metamorphic terrains.
• Structural geology knowledge or aptitude is an advantage.
• Strong observational and interpretive skills with the ability to visualize 3D geological relationships.
• Energetic, positive attitude with a willingness to work long field days in a tropical environment.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to quality geological work.
