ELNG 200 – Multilingualism and the Classroom
This course prepares future teachers to develop critical multilingual language awareness. It helps students to develop an understanding of language development across social contexts as well as how classroom instruction can constitute and maintain social categories. Students will become familiar with literacy instruction that works to foster equity and justice in the classroom and beyond Position Requirements Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours Wednesday, 1900 – 2145
