Reporting to the Transportation Director-Fleet and Final Mile, the incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of the Fleet and Final Mile segment in achieving its mandate of driving cost efficiencies and operational excellence while meeting customer service expectations across all regions and banners. They will be accountable for the coordination of all Fleet and Final Mile invoicing, escalated issues and liaising with various internal and external stakeholders as needed. As a member of the Fleet and Final Mile team, they will contribute to our logistics/delivery network strategies and collaborate with team members to ensure operational performance. This position requires strong organizational skills, relevant computer application experience and ability to work with numerous internal and external partners to deliver expected results in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment.

Your role

  • With direction and guidance from the Director, process all invoicing for the Fleet and Final Mile segment, respecting both financial and vendor timelines
  • Support Fleet and Final Mile transport teams and be accountable for daily delivery operations, performance and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with the continued improvement of Fleet and Final Mile performance standards/metrics and ensure that all data is captured for analytics and reporting
  • Coordinate yearly licencing renewals for various provinces for internal truck fleet
  • Administer fleet-related operational tools
  • Maintain database for fleet assets
  • Support Final Mile delivery segment-related initiatives to ensure they are delivered as per plan
  • Engage and collaborate with multiple key internal stakeholders, such as Supply Chain, Pro Operations, Merchandising, Store Operations, and Dealer Services at a regional and national level
  • Provide data to Finance every month to support monthly financial reporting
  • Work on complex issues that require a good understanding of transportation strategies to analyze the situation

The Qualifications For The Role Are

  • Postgraduate degree or professional certification designation (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of responsibilities in the areas of transportation, logistics, or distribution
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to collaborate with teams in a complex organization and quickly establish credibility across the organization
  • Financial acumen and demonstrated proficiency in various IT systems (Oracle Cloud, Power BI, MS Teams)
  • Project skills; demonstrated ability to work with the team on complex projects, from inception to implementation, and process improvements
  • Communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate with various levels of the organization and across functions
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills; proactive nature and willingness to challenge existing processes and propose new solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and leverage technology solutions, such as fleet management systems, routing optimization, network modelling, carrier sourcing, and business analytics tools
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel (role requires data manipulation)
  • Spoken and written English (bilingual-French is an asset)
