Role Details When you volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society you have real impact. It takes all of us to take on cancer. Volunteer with us at one of our signature events in your community on event day. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability. You can also assist us when we need event support on an on-call basis in your own community Description The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run
This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 5, 2025

• 
  Confirm location for the POH to 'muster'/meet for the start.
• Hand out flowers to the POH prior to parade start (if the site does this),
• Ensure POH know where they will be 'parading' ie: route up to the stage area or around site etc.
• Ensure POH are aware of all details pertaining to the parade - route, who is leading/who they follow, where they finish and what happens once, they finish.
