As a Senior Level Designer, you will report to an Associate Design Director and play a pivotal role in bringing the next chapter of a renowned AAA franchise to life. You’ll collaborate with a team of seasoned professionals to craft high-quality missions that meet the project’s ambitious standards. In this role you will :
- Design, prototype, and own missions from pre-production to final implementation as part of a team, ensuring they deliver engaging objectives, combat encounters, and scenarios aligned with the game’s narrative and core gameplay pillars.
- Shape mission flow, pacing, and difficulty curves to ensure engaging and rewarding experiences.
- Combine combat, exploration, and storytelling into cohesive, interactive experiences.
- Partner with systems designers to ensure missions complement progression, rewards, and core mechanics.
- Clearly communicate your design intent to the creative director, artists, engineers, and QA across the full production pipeline.
- 4–5 years of proven experience designing missions, quests, or levels on shipped AAA or mid-size titles.
- Strong understanding of mission design principles, including flow, pacing, player motivation, and engagement loops.
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 or similar engine.
- Experience with visual scripting, such as Blueprint, for mission logic and ingredient prototyping.
- Ability to balance narrative-driven storytelling with gameplay-driven challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset, in English and/or French.
