Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Process Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the Vancouver office.

Salary range: $95,000 - $130,000
Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Process Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the Vancouver office.
About The Role
- Provide expertise through engineering phases from conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.
- Interpret metallurgical test work results
- Lead a small process engineering project team
- Lead or prepare Process Design Criteria
- Lead or prepare process calculations, process flow diagramss, mass and water balances, P&IDs and control philosophies.
- Size process equipment and develop specifications
- Contribute to the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design by liaising with other engineering disciplines, across the organization and with clients, during the preparation of engineering deliverables.
- Stay abreast of latest process technology developments
- Budget and resource forecast management for process project scopes
- Contribute innovation and lean thinking into process designs
- Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- P.Eng. or eligible to be licensed in the Province of BC
- 5-10 years’ experience in mineral concentrator and/or hydrometallurgical plant design in study or project delivery (scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, trade-offs, basic and detail engineering)
- Gold, silver, copper, base metals and battery metals (nickel, lithium, cobalt) processing preferred
- Proven field experience (construction, commissioning and/or operations) a benefit.
- Experience with metallurgical simulation software such as MetSim, JKSimMet and/or Bruno a benefit
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate technical issues with clients
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
