We have two hotel chains: Accent Inns, where there is a rubber duck in every room, and Hotel Zed, where we rebel against the ordinary. Our latest venture is ROAR, our live-fire restaurant in Tofino, BC. We are searching for a Recruitment Coordinator (8 month term) to join our flock of totally unique and fun-loving individuals to drive our business forward.
This role reports to Laura Miles, HRBP and will build our 2026 team of Ducks n Rebels by supporting our amazing leaders with all things recruitment for hourly/seasonal roles at all locations. This role is an 8 month term contract starting in January 2026. You will coordinate the entire recruitment process from job postings to interviews, seeking unicorn candidates and providing an awesome experience for them every step of the way! This is a great co-op or entry level HR opportunity.

What the Role is Quacked Up to Be
The Recruitment Coordinator will support GMs, AMs and ROAR Management with all hourly recruitment needs including posting jobs, resume screening, pre-screening, interviewing, and managing the candidate experience and communication. They will also support the HRBP and HR Manager in identifying areas of improvement to our hourly recruitment processes including interview guides, job postings and advertisements, and overall candidate experience.
In your first 3 months, you will…
What to expect from us?

First Interview (45-60 mins): You will meet with Laura Miles (HRBP) to chat about your interest and passion for recruitment and People & Culture
Mock Pre-screen (30 mins): a phone call with Laura where you do a mock pre-screen interview with Laura as the mock candidate
Final Interview (30-45 minutes): You will meet with Jamie (HR Manager) as meet n greet to chat all things People & Culture

They will also support the HRBP and HR Manager in identifying areas of improvement to our hourly recruitment processes including interview guides, job postings and advertisements, and overall candidate experience.
In your first 3 months, you will…
- Onboard with the P&C team - learning about our values, culture, benefits and work perks
- Meet the Fam Jam and all of our awesome leaders to learn about their recruitment needs
- Get familiar with all our regions and operations
- Learn our recruitment process from start to finish
- Learn the ins & outs of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) – GetHired
- Master job posts - internally and externally (Indeed, LinkedIn, post-secondary job boards etc)
- Attend post-secondary job fairs with Laura – representing all three brands you’ll connect with students to promote our culture, values, benefits & work perks to attract applicants
- Start screening applications, identifying amazing candidates through resumes, cover letters and pre-screen responses
- Get familiar with our interview guides and process
- Reach out to candidates to conduct pre-screen phone interviews, make and share detailed notes to hiring managers – identifying areas of excellence and concerns, determining status of application
- Play a key role in hiring all 2026 hourly/seasonal hires
- Work closely with hiring managers, understanding and supporting their recruitment goals
- Promote Accent Inns’ brands, culture, benefits and work perks externally
- Coordinate the entire front line recruitment process
- Be able to identify best in class candidates
- Provide consistently awesome candidate experiences (timely follow-up, clearly communicate status etc)
- Monitor and report on recruitment activities and results
- Identify innovative recruitment strategies
- Identify areas of improvement of the candidate experience
