Job Purpose
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Website and Digital Experience Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Islamic Relief Canada’s (IRC) website and digital products, ensuring content accuracy, functionality, and brand consistency.
This role combines technical expertise with strategic insight to optimize user experience, improve search visibility, and enhance digital engagement across all Islamic Relief Canada web products. The Website & Digital Experience Specialist will work closely with the marketing and technology teams to ensure the website and related products remain effective, user-friendly, and reflective of IRC’s brand identity.

$66,500.00

The Website & Digital Experience Specialist will work closely with the marketing and technology teams to ensure the website and related products remain effective, user-friendly, and reflective of IRC’s brand identity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Website Operations & Content Management
- Oversee daily operations of the website, ensuring all content is accurate, functional, and up to date.
- Collaborate with content creators and designers to update landing pages, campaign pages, and other digital assets.
- Ensure all web products and assets reflect brand guidelines, tone of voice, and organizational priorities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to publish content that supports fundraising, campaigns, and donor engagement.
- User Experience & Optimization
- Analyze user behavior and site performance to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement
- Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, heatmaps) to track and report on website performance
- Recommend and implement enhancements to improve user engagement, navigation, and conversions
- Collaborate with the Technology team to improve usability, speed, and accessibility
- Lead A/B testing on landing pages and content to optimize conversion rates
- SEO & Search Visibility
- Conduct keyword research and monitor SEO trends to maintain a competitive edge
- Implement on-page and technical SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings
- Provide insights and recommendations for content optimization based on search data and user trends
- Stay ahead of evolving discovery channels by monitoring how AI-driven platforms (e.g., LLMs, chat-based search, and answer engines) surface and interpret organizational content
- Develop strategies to optimize IRC’s digital presence and content for visibility in AI-generated responses and emerging search paradigms
- Innovation/R&D:
- Monitor emerging web and digital experience trends to ensure IRC remains innovative and sector-leading
- Pilot and test innovative digital approaches that enhance supporter engagement, storytelling, and fundraising impact
- Collaborate with internal teams to prototype and assess new digital experiences before full implementation
- Explore and pilot personalized digital experiences tailored to specific audience segments (donors, volunteers, SEO/content visitors, crowdfunding participants, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Web Design/Development, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing websites, digital content, or online user experience.
- Strong understanding of SEO, web analytics, and UX principles.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), preferably WordPress or similar platforms.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into practical improvements.
- Knowledge of A/B testing, conversion optimization, and digital design best practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative problem-solver with both technical and strategic abilities.
