Kinetic Construction Ltd. has an opportunity within our Vancouver branch for a Regional Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator to leverage strong communication skills and leadership ability to deliver administrative and operational support to the Corporate HSE Manager and Operations Department in their assigned location or geographic area.

When Performed Effectively, The HSE Coordinator Role Results In

  • Strong Safety Culture: A proactive, accountable safety culture is evident across all projects; engaged crews and subcontractors demonstrate consistent safe work practices and reduced incidents.
  • Audit-Ready Compliance: All regional operations maintain complete, accurate, and timely HSE documentation that meets COR and regulatory requirements, ensuring ongoing certification and audit readiness.
  • Empowered and Competent Teams: Site staff and supervisors are confident in their safety knowledge through effective onboarding, training, and coaching that drive awareness and ownership.
  • Continuous Improvement and Collaboration: Incidents are analyzed promptly, lessons are shared, and corrective actions are implemented, resulting in fewer repeat issues and stronger partnerships between project teams, leadership, and subcontractors.

The wage band for this position is $78,811 to $98,514 annually and is based on relevant skills and experience.

Position Specifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a health and safety professional in an advisor role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • NCSO, OHS Diploma, NEBOSH, & CRSP considered an asset
  • Valid Advanced First Aid Certification
  • Root Cause Investigation experience
  • Drivers Licence & Abstract Required
  • Ability to lead meetings & training sessions
  • COR Auditor Certification

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC and other applicable regulations.
  • Strong understanding of the COR Audit process.
  • Team player with the ability to work with employees and business leaders at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to influence Senior Regional Management in both compliance and engagement of Health & Safety.
  • Solid organizational, time management, and prioritization
  • Proficient in MS Office, Procore, and PDF creation & editing.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Specific safety-related training relative to Construction.
  • Experience with policy review, creation, and implementation.
  • Strong communicator, relationship builder, and business partner.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Travel required to assigned branches and various project sites across the Lower Mainland on a regular basis to champion boots-on-the-ground safety.
