Environmental Field Laborer/Technician at Clean Harbors

Clean Harbors in Brampton, ON is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their safety conscious team! This role is associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, working in confined spaces and the handling of hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Operates light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to pumps, vacuum trucks, and equipment, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.
  • Performs chemical and water spills and environmental clean-up.
  • Performs Confined Space entries -working with Tank and Vessel Cleaning.
  • Performs work at heights, on platforms.
  • Performs various tasks associated with Hazardous Waste and Waste cleanups.
  • Performs a variety of labour project work.
  • Handles various hand tools and powered industrial tools, including pressure washers etc.
  • Wears respirators for work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Class G license and must have reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable driving to various site locations throughout Ontario based on need.
  • Previous labor/hazardous waste removal experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with industrial cleaning and working with chemicals is highly preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical labor duties, routinely lift and move objects.
  • Comfortability with being trained to work in confined spaces & heights.
  • Ability to be clean shaven and wear respirators for work when required.
