As a Truck Driver at Ryerson, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a 36 to 48ft roll-title commercial truck to deliver material to customers, primarily in the Winnipeg area.
Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00AM to 5:00PM. No overnight trips required.

As a Truck Driver at Ryerson, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a 36 to 48ft roll-title commercial truck to deliver material to customers, primarily in the Winnipeg area.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks
- Reviews shipping documents and organizes daily schedule as per customer needs and geographical locations
- Ensures that all paperwork such as tests reports & packing slips are in order for delivery to the customer
- Straps down product and ensures the loaded truck can facilitate efficient and safe off loading or re-builds load prior to leaving the facility
- Adheres to all safety policies including wearing Company provided PPE at all times when performing duties
- Loads, safely straps and unload trucks using forklifts and or/cranes
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform all other duties/trips as requested
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- Class 1 license with air brake endorsement required
- 3-5 years tractor/trailer experience in both manual and automatic transmission required
- Ability to safely drive in all terrains and weather conditions
- Clean Driver’s Abstract; current driver’s abstract must be submitted
- Knowledge of truck loading capacities and trucking regulations
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to the position, in compliance with the provincial regulations and the company’s policies
