The Role
As the Junior Content Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping how AVENUE ROAD and Weishaupt Design Group tell their stories across digital platforms. Working closely with the
marketing and creative teams, you’ll create, curate, and manage compelling content that reflects our brand voice and visual identity.
This role blends creativity, precision, and strategic thinking from crafting engaging social media posts and newsletters to maintaining digital assets and supporting campaign execution. You’ll collaborate across departments to ensure our content connects with audiences, drives engagement, and supports business objective. This is a 6-month contract opportunity, with the possibility of permanent employment based on business needs, performance, and fit.

The Role
As the Junior Content Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping how AVENUE ROAD and Weishaupt Design Group tell their stories across digital platforms. Working closely with the
marketing and creative teams, you’ll create, curate, and manage compelling content that reflects our brand voice and visual identity.
This role blends creativity, precision, and strategic thinking from crafting engaging social media posts and newsletters to maintaining digital assets and supporting campaign execution. You’ll collaborate across departments to ensure our content connects with audiences, drives engagement, and supports business objective. This is a 6-month contract opportunity, with the possibility of permanent employment based on business needs, performance, and fit.
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and publish digital content including photography, product descriptions, copy, and visuals across all WDG brand websites and social platforms.
- Maintain and optimize product listings (pricing, imagery, descriptions) and ensure consistency with brand standards and tone.
- Develop engaging social media content and calendars for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WeChat, and Little Red Book; manage posting, community engagement, and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with creative, marketing, and PR teams to produce campaign assets, newsletters, event materials, and other branded content.
- Edit and manage digital assets (images, videos, templates) and uphold best practices in content management, tagging, and version control.
- Plan and execute content strategies aligned with product launches, marketing initiatives, and seasonal campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to generate insights that inform future content and social strategies.
- Stay current with trends in digital media, design, and culture to identify innovative content formats such as Reels, short-form video, and AR.
- Ensure all content is optimized for SEO, aligned with brand voice, and consistent across channels.
- Support digital campaigns and internal initiatives, contributing content for paid and organic promotions, newsletters, and cross-brand projects.
- Completed undergraduate degree or diploma, or minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Superior Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Knowledge of MailChimp, AdWords. and SEM
- Knowledge of SAP an asset
- Knowledge of Contentful an asset
- Creative proficiency in a wide range of skills from graphic design to photography to copy
- Ability to prioritize and collaborate in a fast-paced environment
- Creative perspective and a critical eye for detail
- French, German, Mandarin, or other second language an asset
