The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and execute enterprise-wide services to improve learning skills. These services include coordinating SSC tutors and dealing with day to day administrative and management matters. The coordinator delivers learning skills workshops both in-person and online. The coordinator organizes and runs the Summer Bridge Program and trains students to assist. This position also plans Fall and Winter Orientation activities.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and deliver learning support workshops for students.
- Interview, hire, manage, schedule and mentor Student Success Centre tutors
- Coordinate Summer Bridge Program.
- Development, delivery and evaluation of Fall and Winter Orientation and Welcome Week programming with additional engagement opportunities for first year students.

- Master’s Degree in related field (preferred).
- 2 – 3 years experience working with students transitioning to university, in a student support role.
- Combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:
- Experience managing student employees
- Experience working with different faculties and disciplines
- Experience meeting with students in one-on-one and group settings
- An understanding of the University of Regina Faculties, Federated Colleges, units, departments, processes, procedures, and systems. Experience using University of Regina systems including Banner and Caspur.
- An understanding of Student Development and Engagement Theories. Experience designing and delivering student engagement opportunities that are meaningful and achieve desired outcomes.
- Program Assessment & Evaluation: knowledge of survey design and ethical considerations when surveying various populations relating to program evaluation. Ability to interpret results and compile reports for University stakeholders in order to communicate and facilitate discussions relating to retention and student success.
- Experience in event planning, including all logistics and budget management.
