The opportunity:

As Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for guiding, motivating, and developing a team of Account Executives and BDRs to exceed their goals. What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Account Executives and BDRs to achieve and exceed revenue and activity targets
- Oversee pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and overall sales performance across your team’s territories
- Partner with RevOps to refine territory design, funnel metrics, and reporting to ensure scalable growth
- Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation initiatives and campaign execution to optimize funnel conversion
- Conduct regular 1:1s, deal reviews, and performance coaching sessions with AEs to identify strengths and development areas
- Own the hiring, onboarding, and continuous enablement and process refinement of your team, ensuring consistent alignment with Zen’s mission and sales methodology
- Analyze data to identify performance trends, refine playbooks, and share best practices across the team
- Act as a key voice between the field and leadership, surfacing market insights and feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategy.
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience managing a high-performing sales team in a B2B or SaaS environment (experience in education, staffing, or ed-tech preferred)
- Strong coaching mindset with a track record of developing sales talent and fostering team accountability
- Data-driven operator who can use metrics to diagnose performance issues and optimize processes
- Skilled in pipeline management, forecasting, and sales enablement
tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work cross-functionally with Marketing, RevOps, and senior leadership
- Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort operating in a fast-moving, scaling startup environment.
