The Group Business Development Team
The Group Business Development leads growth across multiple international markets at the BAE Systems group level, working in close collaboration with our Sectors based across the globe in the UK, US, Sweden, Australia and beyond to deliver the world-leading capabilities our customers need to deliver their missions across the Air, Land, Naval, Space and Cyber domains. This role will sit at the heart of the GBD team in Canada, which is growing in line with our existing business and future ambitions in Canada, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of BAE Systems in Canada and provide the role holder with extensive opportunities to develop themselves in an exceptional international business and team environment, with the widest portfolio of any global defence prime behind them.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Play a central role to drive the growth of BAE Systems’ presence and market share within the Canadian defence and security sector
- Drive the growth of BAE Systems’ presence and market share within the Canadian defence and security sector
- Collaborate closely with country and regional leadership teams to align business development activities across BAE Systems’ multi-domain portfolio and global business units
- Shape the business-winning environment by fostering relationships and influence across key stakeholder groups within government, industry, and partner organizations in Canada
- Develop and deliver actionable Canadian market intelligence, strategic plans, and campaign materials to inform business strategy and decision-making
- Build, qualify, and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities in collaboration with internal teams, partners, and customers
- Lead the planning and execution of in-country events, exhibitions, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that enhance BAE Systems’ visibility and reputation
Your skills and experiences:
- Solid understanding of the Canadian defence landscape — including key customers, industry players, and market dynamics
- Proven success in developing, leading, and delivering business development campaigns within the Canadian market
- Strategic mindset, with experience in planning, analysing customer needs and priorities, shaping value propositions, and delivering compelling proposals and pitches
- Bachelors degree in Politics, Business or a related field
